  • Downloaded your freebie & already digesting it. I'll order others as several Lisbon-to-Porto You Tube vids show this as a good startout. What about returning on different path back to Lisbon? Hmmm ...

My name is Drew. Thanks for the like. I am new here ... less than a week so mistakes are inevitable. I apologize in advance. You are evidently a prime source of solid information. I'm aiming for my first venture Spring of 2022 & in earliest planning stage at every level. Anything you can suggest for Lisbon to SDC is appreciated. Thanks ...

The Portuguese are so helpful, the country is so beautiful and the food and wine are so good and unimaginably inexpensive, that who wouldn't fall in love with Portugal? Much happiness to you as you plan your pilgrimage!

The darn program doesn't let me send more than 142 characters at once, hence the multiple comments! I am too long winded. Ha ha.

I guess the best piece of advice I can give you, is walk your own Camino, your own pace. It is not a race and if you push too hard initially you will hurt yourself. Start slowly, building up your distance as you learn what works best for you. You can always take a taxi, a train or bus to shorten stages as needed. Train before hand and know yourself!
Hi Elie, I have been browsing the information on your Camino Teresiano. Just let me tell you that you did an excellent job. Amazing amount of information. In my view, impossible to gather by just being a typical pilgrim.
I can tell, since I live in Salamanca and I am familiar with the area. It so happen I'm also a little familiar with Colorado (not Weston). Small world!!

Hi there Mahz! (since I don't actually know if this is actually your name). Thank you for your kind words. It really does help keep me going, especially during this time of Covid. I appreciate your taking the time to tell me so. I spend lots and lots of time researching what I write about. Both before and after I make the pilgrimage!

How lucky for you to live in the marvelous city of Salamanca! It is one of my favorites in Spain, thus far.
I truly enjoyed the Teresiano. It felt quite reverent, walking in the footsteps of the Saint. And I am not even Catholic, nor "religious." I DID live in Denver, for most of my adult life, but now, on 70 acres in southern Colorado. And indeed, it is a small world!
Elle, your website/blog is unmatched in terms of helping me plan my Camino Portugués. The step-by-step photos are so helpful, as I'm trying to determine how "pastoral" this camino is, compared to CF. Do you plan another update to the ebook before May 2020? Second question: Have you walked the Variante Espirituál and have a write-up of it? Many thanks for all your hard work.

Thank-you for your nice comments. No, I am not planning an update for the CP for 2020 yet. (I am currently writing about the Sanabres.) I am always adding new info to my webpages when I learn of it, and my ebook. I send an email notice out to purchasers of my ebooks that it has been updated. So if one buys an ebook, they can be sure they have the new one. I can be very nimble, because I do it all myself.

Sadly, I have not had a chance to do the Variante Espiritual and have no write up. It has become quite popular, and everything I read makes me want to do it. I pinned this short version on my Pinterest board, don't know if it is helpful - click here to see it. I do have it on my bucket list!
Hola Elle, i admit i was warned!!! I arrived in Porto yesterday and today was my 2nd 2 Pasteis Natas day😋 you were so right!!! I have arrived in Matosinhos via the coast it was beauitful. Wonderful! Sorry I didn't answer sooner. I just finished walking the Camino Teresiano and am in Salamanca to stay the Via de la Plata from there! I hope you are continuing to enjoy the coastal Camino! It is one of my favorites. And the pastel de Mata - pure delight indeed! Buen Camino!
    Hi Elle
I read your blog regarding your walk during the Inglis some time ago.
Firstly where do you suggest I stay over in Ferrol ? Maybe I decide to stay more than one day , unless you suggest a more interesting town on the way to SdC. I will be walking from the middle of Sept. and end in Muxia. Will the weather still be summerish as I love the sunshine and heat. Thank you , from Leon in Cape Town , South Africa.

Last year I walked the Portugese from Porto to Finisterre and within three weeks I am going to work on a farm in the south of Portugal at the place called Santa Luzia , which is part of the organization called WORK ON ORGANIC FARMS (WOOF).

After that I will visit Braga , I spent a wonderful week-end there last year. Then you persuaded me to travel to Coruna and I plan to spend 2 days there. Only then I will go to start my camino in Ferrol. Thank you so much and keep well.

Wonderful! You will love it! Things should be greening up a bit. We walked in April and things were in full bloom. Look for the oranges. Don't know if they will be out in March, but most likely by April. And Buen Camino to you too!

Hi Elle, your Camino experience sounds great. I am heading off to do the Primitivo at the beginning of October. I am sure the weather may be disruptive but its all part of the 'journey'. Good luck with your pilgrimage(s), and thanks for the sharing. Patrick
