Camino Primitivo in April 2016
Hi all

I'm flying out to start the Primitivo soon, I'm not sure whether or not to book hold luggage to simply to bring my walking sticks. Do you know I can easily buy new hiking poles in Oviedo?

Thank you!! Liz

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
Hi Liz!
It all depends on which airline you're using.
I had this from Easyjet:
"Dear Stephen
Thank you for contacting easyJet.
As per your concern, you wanted to know about taking telescopic walking pole in the Hand baggage.
I would like to inform you that you can take it, but it should not have sharp ends.
For more information, please click here. "

Meanwhile, I look forward to hearing the direct answer to your question re sports shops in Oviedo, as I'm thinking of the Primitivo in 2017....
Buen camino, Liz!

Assuming that you mean collapsible poles :-
Corte Ingles on Calle Uria had a sports section downstairs in 2012. Also there were 2 other sports stores near the pedestrian area. Ask in town and I am sure that at least one of these options will still be there

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!

Calle Uria has a wonderful hotel up the Tourismo / Cathedral end called
Hotel Fruela
It cost us 59euro a night and the rooms were great
Remember always to book non smoking floors when in Spain , a problem we have just hit in San Sebastián.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
