Albergue in Castromonte, very nice.

I had it all to myself the night I stayed there. I got hopelessly lost that day after leaving Penaflor and taking a wrong turn and ending up in Torrrelobaton (worth the detour, if you have the time and stamina) and then walking all afternoon to Castromonte on a Sunday with no service and barely anyone out and about. I had to knockv on the door of the butcher's shop to be able to buy food for dinner and the "famous" only bar in town had no beer or wine.

Hy Biarritzdon I had a similar experience. I was the only one in the albergue and the only bar in the village had beer bat the food was bad. I was walking from Tordesillas, Camino Sureste, to join Camino the Madrid on an off camino walk. I stopped in Torrelobaton, with the nice castle for lunch.
