Hello everyone!

Sorry to shout, but these are exciting times. I have started this thread to serve as a point of conversation for the Camino Guides Beta that was launched last month.

Since I have been kicking the tires so to speak and searching for dead links and oddities and other bed bugs in the system. All that I could find have been duly squashed or repaired.

I have added a changelog below to highlight the biggest changes. As the weeks and years go by I will keep adding to this thread the newest changes so that anybody making use of the guides can make the most use of them.

I would also like to invite you to leave your own Wishlist items to this thread. Are there features that you would like to add. Or languages. Or routes. I cannot promise that I will attend to all of them, but I am open to any and all possibilities.

Lastly, if you find errors or oddities you are welcome to send me a DM. Soon I will add a button to the guides to make this process easier but for now a DM will do.

Much love from Santiago!
Michael

CHANGELOG - March 18th, 2024
Lots of little bug fixes.
Lots of dead links resolved: my apologies to the Caminho Nascente and the Geira, these were the two routes that suffered the most.
Heaps more technical stuff to help google find this great community.

NEW FEATURE: Searchability! The new search bar in the upper right helps you to get to the stuff you are looking for… fast. It will auto-populate with the top his but if you press ‘ENTER’ it will bring up a page of results. This will be improved in the coming days when the site is re-indexed. You will be shown better filters for narrowing down your search.

IMPROVED FEATURE: Much better maps. The accommodation options now appear with better pins to help distinguish between the types of accommodation AND the camino route is now drawn on the map.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Do we need to reinstall the app, or will it update automatically? Thanks

I am referring here to the links above in the menu "Online Guide (beta)". There is nothing to install as it is a website.

But now I need to say that no sooner than I posted the message above there was a technical error and I have had to temporarily go back to the old version... so you can expect to see the changes again tomorrow.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Great! What do we do if using the apps? i can't really use websites on my phone when walking. Thanks!
The apps exist all on their own. The content is shared though so you can choose whichever medium works best.

Hey, I just started with my first two posts (using the app), and I read there is supposed to be a setting for a signature? I don't find anything like this. Thanks!
