The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The granite posts were a point of wonder to us, also. Some were obviously very, very old...others looked recent.
I remember them for hundreds of kilometers.

I had not thought they were hand worked but maybe found or quarried that way.
But then...I did not know what type of rock they were until posted above.

Yes it is a little similar to Dartmoor although the terrain is kinder and the granite has pooled more into plates. Interestingly I was at the Roman arch yesterday and used one of the granite posts to prop up my iPad to film me walking through it for the video I am making. Glad you are enjoying the blog
