And to you both. Thanks for organising the 2018 get together.Happy New Year to you all.
Buen Camino @Waka.And to you both. Thanks for organising the 2018 get together.
Buen Camino NickSorry I wont be around as will be walking towards A Guarda on the Portuguese Senda Litoral that day.
It is still some time ahead but we have in mind a get-together at the end of April. Suggesting Tuesday 30th at Darts Farm. Should have been our first full day in Spain, but we will enjoy the Camigos company instead.
Look forward to seeing you @lisbeth . I will post the Darts Farm plan laterGood Morning Tia Valeria,
I live in Uplyme and would be delighted if I could invite myself to your proposed Camigos meeting at Dart's farm on April 30th.
Lizbeth
Just realised I did not put a time - sorry folks -Thank you. I look forward to getting the details and meeting up with everyone.
L.
And me you.Look forward to meeting you CarolamS!
Glad you found us and look forward to meeting you.I have only just found this thread and would very much like to come along and meet local Camigos. So I will head to the Cathedral cafe for 11 am. Gosh I am so pleased to have found this thread today!
that is good news. Well done.We made it . ......
You bet right . Lying on my bed here in Vigo trying to work out which one to try next. Only disappointment is that I don't seem to have shed as much weight as I had hoped - think I took the carb loading a bit too farBrilliant!! Ahhha - we all knew you would love it! I bet you are planning the next one...! Well done!!
Congratulations reaching Santiago and getting your Compostelas is a great achievement. I hope to hear all your tales at Dart's Farm. You bet right . Lying on my bed here in Vigo trying to work out which one to try next. Only disappointment is that I don't seem to have shed as much weight as I had hoped - think I took the carb loading a bit too far
That does sound a perfect example of how you'd prefer it not to beIt can be a bit overwhelming.... I arrived and got a puncture outside the Cathedral, then missed the pilgrim mass cos i was in the dentists having a root canal filling....and it was my birthday! But at least the time spent in the queue lets you catch up with other pilgrims - I really enjoyed that - despite dreading the queuing!
If nothing else look at it as a well-earned rest! Well done!
Thanks.Well done CarolamS So glad you managed to get your Compostela - sounds like you did well to get ticket 167. The system was so chaotic when we got ours - many people were left disappointed. Hope the weather is kind to you on the way to Muxia.
If we go for the 16th or 23rd how does that suit? Either is good for us at present.I cant do the 9th! Just got a ticket for the Stonehenge Conference at Bournemouth!!
Not sure when you are back @CarolamS but we are not in a rush to fix the date. More a process of elimination at presentI'm pretty sure I can make either of those though I don't have access to my diary at the moment.
@hecate105 cannot do the 9th and as you cannot do the 16th @Isca-camigo we will eliminate that too.I can make the 9th and 23rd, whatever date is best for the group hope you have a great meeting.
Mike
I’ll be thinking of you all at Darts Farm, Tia. I have such wonderful memories of the February meeting there back in 2014 when I first met you all.@hecate105 cannot do the 9th and as you cannot do the 16th @Isca-camigo we will eliminate that too.
It looks like the 23rd is best for most of us so we will go for that. More later for those new to our meetings.
Look forward to seeing you ☺Be really good to finally meet you.I will hope to join you as I am now back residing in Bristol.
Can’t you make it over again @JennyH94? It’s about time we met!
Now - if we knew you were coming we could try to arrange a date.......Thanks for your good wishes @hecate105 - all’s well here in Oz - can’t wait to be back on a pilgrimage path of some kind though!
And Maggie - I wish so much I could make it over but it’s not to be this year - perhaps one of the meetings next year. Where there’s the will, there’s The Way!
Best wishes and Camino hugs to everyone -
Jenny

So sorry you couldn't make it, you were both missed. 4 of us met in the end and had a very pleasant chat. I arrived late having walked, or rather paddled my way there. Now I really understand why Davebugg said that sooner or later you will get wet feet even with Goretex . I look forward to seeing you at the next get-together.So...did anyone apart from @hecate105 manage to get there today? and home safely too?
I don't think anything would put me off at the moment.....I am positively Camino obsessed! So good meeting up with everyone today, sorry @Tia Valeria that the flooding was so bad at home. @Atc hope we didn't put you off with all the hint and warnings!
Atc - Have you read 'Spanish Steps' by Tim Moore - might put you off! Funniest book on the Camino I've read - and its on the Frances...
