Leaving in two weeks and making some reservations ahead of time. Having an issue with Zariquiegui. It appears Posada Ardogi is no longer open. Correct? Also Hostel San Andres says it will take reservations but only has phone numbers. . Since I'm in Seattle I've tried late at night (early...
Just doing a bit of Camino dreaming and was looking at Rome2Rio. Appears there is no longer a train from Bayonne to SJPDP? Or just too early in the season?
Starting to replan another Camino for fall of 2022. Has anyone heard from Istvan and Barbara of Corazon Puro? That was such a wonderful experience and start to the Camino. Wondering if they are considering coming back?

I'm six weeks into healing from receiving a new hip. Doing good but still exhausted after short (2 blocks) walks. My doctor says I'll be able to do the Camino next year providing there's a vaccine and Europe is willing to let anyone from the USA in. My question is to those of you with a new...
Some of my fondest food and drink memories of the camino are the many paellas and sangrias I consumed. Upon returning from the Camino, my husband and I talked non stop about our adventure and how it was the best thing we had ever done. Several family members were "interested" but none would...
My husband and I are walking the Portuguese starting in about ten days. We will arrive in Santiago on Saturday the 12th of May. Am I correct in thinking there will still be lots of scaffolding and no chance of seeing the botafumeiro swing over the next 2 days? It was the most moving, spiritual...
Tried searching but unable to find answer. I think I read that I can bring my Samsung ^ which I have through T Mobile and it will work in Portugal and Spain. If this is correct can you tell me 1) Do I need to contact T Mobile before leaving the US? 2) Can I make a few free calls to US or small...
My husband and I are walking from Porto to Santiago at the end of April. Coming from the USA I wanted to see as much as possible before we walk so we are stopping in Lisbon and Seville for a week and then on to Porto. I have found an ad for a day trip from Seville to Tangier and back to Seville...
Planning to "chill" for a few days in the south of Spain after the Camino in late September! Any suggestions for an inexpensive hostal/pensionne somewhere by a beach?
Getting very excited about our Camino in Aug/Sept and trying to weigh and pack lite but take a few gadgets that might make things easier. Can anyone describe or have a picture of an average shower? Would taking some "S" type hooks to put over the wall of the shower to hang things on help to...
Trying to save a little money on some of the items for Camino. Have noticed most silk liners are around $50. Does anyone have any experience with the $10 ones from Viet Nam that are offered on ebay? Camino planned for August/September so only taking liner.
Read that one albergue has lockers. Do any others? Concerned about losing new shoes, clothes, pack - everything. I know to always carry my passport, money and cards but when you get to an albergue, shower and then go out to explore the town - how safe are your belongings left in the albergue?
