You can fly into Santander (Ryanair) and get a bus from the airport to Bilbao and then get a bus to Pamplona, or fly to Bilbao (Aer Lingus) and bus to Pamplona. Either way would be quicker than flying into Biarritz.
A cheaper guide book is Walking the Camino de Santiago by Gerald Kelly. You can get it on Amazon, the maps are b/w, but the is a lot of info in it, and it's a lot cheaper. £4.04
Enjoy your camino, make sure you have ear plugs, water and when you get to Pampalona try a glass of Pacharan and ice to celebrate getting there. Buen Camino. One other thing toilet roll knock the center out of it to make it fold flatter.
Try booking Albergue Casa Ibarrola, it's on Calle Carmen. I think they stay open until 11pm. You should book to make sure you have a place, phone no. +34 948 22 33 32. If you get a bed there you have to phone them before 2:00 pm to confirm your booking.
Why doesn't Red Bull sponsor the Camino then there could be races every week to see who can do it the fastest. I thought that the Camino was a pilgrimage not a race to see who can brag about doing it the quickest.
