"Camino from 2013 to 2019" paused for now...
With 7 days, I would start in Irun (or nearby Hondarribia) and walk to Bilbao. This section is challenging, with some beautiful coastal scenery and includes the wonderful towns of San Sebastián and Bilbao.

You’ll find distances, elevations and accommodation options on Gronze. 😎

Can you still get the Compostela by doing this route?
If you mean the section recommended above, NO.

You can only get a Compostela for walking the last 100km of any recognised route into Santiago.

It doesn’t matter how many kms you’ve walked up until that point - if you don’t walk the last 100km, and collect a minimum of two stamps a day - no Compostela.
