Accommodations in late August and early September

Hi, I'm planning on starting Oviedo around August 18 or 19. Are the albergues likely to have space on the Primitivo that time of year or should I book in advance. I'd like to give myself the flexibility to stop when I'm ready and not have to go on just to make it to a reserved spot, but I also don't want to be naive or unprepared.

I’m thinking of this route around the same time as well. I’d like to know if I should book in advance.
