We are in Pobeña tonight and really struggling to get accomodation for tomorrow night. We are pretty desperate. Any tips from anyone? We will do a longer or shorter stage.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

What have you tried? There is a pilgrim albergue there. Is it full or not open? It says they don't take reservatons but have 40 beds.
Sorry, I see you are looking for the next night. Where have you tried? Are you using an App or Gronze.com to help you?

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
You might take the longer route (the inland one) from Ontón and stay in Castro Urdiales. It would not be a too short day (22 km), and there are plenty of options in the city.

All sites stated that the Albergue in Castro was closed but we just arrived and it is open. So we are hopefully sorted thanks!

You're lucky! I walked last June for the second time and assumed wrongly that it would be open, it being a municipal and all. It was my first day out from Bilbao but arrived in Ontón where I had reserved too early so I walked on to Castro Urdiales! I ended up staying in a way more expensive hostal which was very pleasant but not planned. Do yes, even an experienced peregrina can make beginner's mistakes!

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
