This looks like a lovely new albergue.
We were offered a room for 10 people and two private rooms with a double bunk that has a double bed at the bottom and a single on top - with private bathroom - for 8 euro!

I can thoroughly recommend this auberge, which is run by a very nice young couple from Madrid who have long had a dream to give something back to the Camino. They did almost all the renovation work to make it an auberge themselves - great job. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxed and the facilities good. We stayed there two days and enjoyed the auberge and Villafranca very much. I certainly plan to go back there at some stage.

Before or after the bridge?

after the brigde over Rio Burbia and before the brigde over Rio Valcarce. Walk all the way down the hill to the valley passing the Municipal and Ave Fenix, cross the Rio Burbia and turn right on the Espiritu Santo.

Yes this is a lovely place to stay, the breakfast is just the best, the young couple from Madrid are just marvellous hosts, & their dog was lovely too

This is one of the best albergues I stayed at on the Camino.

I was there at the beginning of last november. It was by far the best albergue I stayed. A lovely welcome with tea and a good conversation with the owner. Good breakfast and plenty of room in the dorm.

I stayed there again last night for the third time. The same very good standard than before. So peaceful to fall asleep in the sound of the river.
