Can anyone confirm whether the Albergue Juvenil Castro is open? I've seen conflicting reports and emails I sent to the 2 addresses I found online both bounced back. I hope to visit in late March. I have not tried the listed telephone numbers, as I am not confident of my ability to speak Spanish. Thanks in advance.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Great place to stay. Very nice albergue divided into small rooms. Also has a food van at the back. Dont miss the old roman museum.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
You should contact them via WhstsApp. I sent a message and got this reply within hours:

Si, estamos abiertos

Don’t miss the tour of the Castro (Neolithic hill fort) and museum!
Thanks. The fort is definitely on the itinerary. Telephonic contact is my biggest worry on my entire journey (except maybe for a late March snowstorm in Pajares) - I'm not confident in my ability to understand what I am being told via telephone. All of my contact so far with albergues has been via email using Google Translate, which has worked very well for me.

Have you used WhatsApp? It’s great because it goes over wifi, you have a written record, and it’s pretty easy to send a message, requesting a bed for a certain number of people for a certain date whether you speak Spanish or not, I have found that the overwhelming majority of people and Albergues in Spain use WhatsApp. In fact, many will never respond to an email or an actual call but will respond promptly to a WhatsApp text message.

When I walked last August it had opened again. There are two other accommodations there. March is a transition time with a lot of albergues, some don't open up again until around Easter or when it gets busy.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hello, I am having trouble finding any information regarding the stages on the Verde. Is there a current thread, please? Where would I cross over to the Verde from the Primitivo and is there...
Hi Erika - this is Andrina. We met on the way. I found your pilgrim passport. Let me know how I can return it to you
