This is just some information I wrote down when we were trying to decide where to start. Times are leaving and arriving. The dollar sign $$$ indicates EUROS, not u.s. dollars. This is the information from the ALSA bus station in Santiago to:

Virgin del Camino
7 am to 1:20 pm $38.60
8 am - 3:20 pm $23.34

Sevilla
7 am to 8:50 pm $75.60
1:45 pm to 4:30 am $58.04
9:30 pm to 12:30 am $58.04

Merida
4 pm to 2:30 am $44

Zafra
4 pm to 3:10 am $47.43

Salamanca
8:30 am to 2:30 pm $26.44

Salamanca to Merida
12:30am to 5 am $17.97
9:30 am to 2:30 pm
2:45 pm to 7:15 pm

TRAIN to Virgen leaves Santiago at 9:17 and arrives at 3:05 pm and costs $30.20
