Am arriving St. Jean 31st March (Easter Sunday), and start walking April 1st. Any suggestions about how busy St. Jean is likely to be, and whether it's necessary to book a hostel?

I always book the first night on any Camino - it's pretty much the only day you know for definite where you're going to be.
That's just me though . . .

and we know that no self-respected French would EVER resort to English and intentiaonally to boot :rolleyes:😇
