Got an early start for the long hot day ahead of me.
Leaving Arnad on a Sunday morning there was little to no traffic so I decided to roadwalk a bit to stop at the first open bar/Cafe for my morning coffee.
Once this was accomplished I headed on the VF route and walked southward, finally leaving the Aosta Valley and entered into the Piemonte region.
Throughout the day I passed numerous castles, but none as large as The Bard Fortress which could be seen for miles/ (KM's).
After 7 hours I finally made it to Ivrea, showered, slept ed and enjoyed a great linguine seafood pasta dish for dinner.
