Arriving in Lissabon soon...

...in March, to be exact. Will be walking north but was thinking about starting by going out to Cabo de roca. Any suggestions on walking there and where to spend the nights, and should I walk back to Lissabon or should I turn north-ish -> north-east-ish. I do have enough time to enjoy my walk, have six months to spend on the road, I am planning on reaching Paris in May-June and after that maybe do some walking in Great Britain...

Hi, Heidi, welcome to the forum. Have you scrolled through the "coastal route from Lisbon" sub-forum of the Camino Portugues section? There are actually at least two routes near Lisbon that might be of interest to you, the caminho do mar, and the trilho das areias. Look at this post for instance, https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/coastal-route-starting-in-lisbon.15417/. There are a few other good ones.

I don't think Cabo da Roca is on either of those routes, but if you went along the river from Lisbon out to Cascais it wouldn't be that far. Coming to CAbo da Roca from Sintra is maybe another option.

I have walked on a coastal path north of Cabo da Roca, and my impression is that the coast winds around so much that it would take hours to get a kilometer or two north of your starting point. But it would be beautiful!

I'm sure you'll get up to date information from Aurelio as soon as he sees this, so stay tuned.

I am looking at this too. Coastal from Lisbon to Santiago but we only have 22 days.

There are two possibilities to follow the path closest to the coast, an official one that is the Caminho do Mar (Way of the Sea), old road from Cascais to Santiago (as you can see on the maps of the credential), but it is not totally and officially marked. At this moment it is only marked until near city of Porto de Mós (near Batalha), where it makes an inversion to Fátima, with possibility of connecting to the Caminho Central in Tomar or Ansião.
Another route is an unofficial coastal path (not Camino de Santiago), which is the Trilho das Areias (Sands Trail), but which I do not know. For this trail you see Luis do Freixo's website that has the indications to do this path.
To go to Cabo da Roca you have to follow the Trilho das Areias, because the Way of the Sea, in the beach of the Guincho turns inland towards Sintra.

These two paths do not have many pilgrims. Perhaps this year and only in the months of May and October, when the pilgrims go to Fatima.
