Best place to start from...

I´m planning to walk the Camino "france" in August this year and I wonder if someone can recommend, which place is the best to start from and the easiest way to get there?

To give you an intelligent answer to your question we would need to know information such as how much time do you have to do the Camino and where are you coming from. When do you plan to do the Camino? Are you quite fit now or are you starting a fitness program soon?

I´m planning to leave Copenhagen around the 20-25´th of August. Approximately I can be away for 6 weeks.
I´m on a fitness-program right now and I dont think that it will be a problem for me. I usually take my dog out for long walks in the wood or down by the river and I really enjoy walking.

Do you know how´s the weather seems to be in August-September?

Expect hot weather in both months. Six weeks will allow a leisurely pace, so take your time. Albergues generally make you leave by 7 to 8 a.m., so get up early and walk before the day gets really hot. If you are trying to cover distance, take a break in the heat of the day, and resume walking after 4 p.m. There is plenty of sunlight until 7 to 8 p.m. The crowds at the beginning of the Camino Frances should be diminishing by the end of August, though the end of the Camino will be quite busy until September.

Regular walking is useful training, but you need longer walks in the boots that you will be wearing if you want to avoid blisters. The pressure on your feet is different when you wear a pack, so be sure to get some long walks with your pack to see where the pressure points are in your boots.

I recommend starting in Saint Jean Pied du Port on the French side of the Pyrenees.
The first days walk is one of the toughest because the Camino takes you over the mountains to Roncesvalles, about 27 kms from SJPP.

Saint Jean Pied du Port to Santiago is 780 kms, more or less.
It takes 31 days at 25 km per day.
