Hello, I’m planning to do the Camino Frances next year with a bike. Can anyone advise me please of the busiest times of year as I would prefer not to book accommodation in advance. Any tips would be appreciated. The reason I don’t want to book up is that I would prefer to push on as much as possible each day and stop when I’m tired. Thanks very much!

Numbers leaving Saint Jean Pied de Port generally peak in May and September with a bit of a lull over the summer. But the busiest time for the final stretch from Sarria to Santiago is generally in July and August.

In my first time it was October/November and it was much better and much colder as well...
