Buying walking poles in Santiago or Muxia

Time of past OR future Camino
16th May 2024 planned
Having had two sets of poles taken from me at the airport on my return flight (traveling cabin luggage only) I want to buy poles cheaply on arrival before O begin my Camino..either in Santiago or Muxia where I start. Any suggestions?

There is a Decathlon City branch just outside the historic centre of Santiago - near the Alameda park. But it is probably worth asking your hotel or albergue if any have been left there by previous visitors. Or drop in at Pilgrim House and ask if there are spare ones that have been left there. Huge numbers of used poles are left by pilgrims every year.

I picked up some at the albergue where I was staying in Santiago, then walked to Muxia, Finisterre and from Porto back to Santiago, where I left those poles at the same albergue. Hopefully someone else gets to use them too:)
