I hear you! I had a much cooler walk last July than in September of 2016.

Hello, just wondering if it is really that hot to walk in August? I am afraid of the heat but I want to know how hard it is.

Yes July and August is warm and drier than the other months. That can have its advantages, though. You can carry way less equipment. No need for a sleeping bag. The only rain gear needed is a lightweight poncho. You can wear shorts everyday, and a single layer shirt/top. All in all you can easily walk with a pack that weighs 5-6 kilos.
Just make sure you wear a hat, sunscreen and hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.
I would not say it is a harder time to walk the Frances.
