As I understand it, August is one of the most popular months so you won't be alone - 'cause I'll be there as well!Who will start their Camino France in August 2018? //Robbie
I dont know about other Septembers, but in 2016 September was HOT!Hi Robbie, a friend and I are considering starting the Camino Frances end of August. I have walked the Camino frances previously in May and June and am wondering what the weather is like in September?
I hear you! I had a much cooler walk last July than in September of 2016.I dont know about other Septembers, but in 2016 September was HOT!
Thats interesting, I've been afraid to walk in July-August as I thought it would be even hotter.I hear you! I had a much cooler walk last July than in September of 2016.
Yes July and August is warm and drier than the other months. That can have its advantages, though. You can carry way less equipment. No need for a sleeping bag. The only rain gear needed is a lightweight poncho. You can wear shorts everyday, and a single layer shirt/top. All in all you can easily walk with a pack that weighs 5-6 kilos.Hello, just wondering if it is really that hot to walk in August? I am afraid of the heat but I want to know how hard it is.
