We are on the pilgrimage.

Will see Cruz de Ferro tomorrow.

We started in Pamplona-only hotels so far. (Thought I'd confess our sin up front for purists)

There you are about to climb up to the iconic Cruz de Ferro and you take time to mix business with pleasure. The pleasure part I can understand. But it's your Camino and none of the "purists'" business.
If you haven't explored the other features Ivar has added to the Forum, take a look at the Social Groups forum area. It's taylor-made for like minded pilgrims to meet, chat and share experiences. That's not to say we pilgrims aren't all like minded, but when enjoying a thread on, say "Cruz de Ferro" and mid way down I come across a discussion by two metal smiths sharing a back and forth on the probable ores used and techniques of crafting such an edifice; something gets lost in the weeds. Just saying...
