Hola all!

Just got back from my chemin/camino a few months back. I became impromptu chef for a crowd of at least a dozen or so pilgrims as I walked along and made new friends. Made a quick video of our favorite, extremely easy recipe we ate nearly every albergue we stayed in. Saved us a few euro to stay in, gave you all the carbs/protein needed for a 30km day, and cost no more than 50 cents per person to make!

Pasta was an old standby for us also. Cheap to buy in the little markets, mixed with canned tuna, or clams, or whatever you could find.

I would fry up some onions, garlic, a red pepper and chopped tomato until it made a paste, then add my pasta and cover with water. The pasta cooked in the sauce and was wonderful. Sprinkle with cheese and YUMMERS!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Easiest pasta meal -
Ingredients: pasta, some vegetable - a couple of courgettes (zucchini) work well especially if there is no sharp knife available , a tub of cream cheese flavoured with garlic and or herbs from the supermarket.

Start cooking the pasta, chop the courgettes and add to the pan. When cooked drain and stir in cream cheese (off the heat) Eat.

Cream cheese doesn't stick to the pan like harder cheese.
