As far as I can see that is a different Castilblanco and not directly on the Via de la Plata, BC SY

Yes - the article says that the Castilblanco in question is in Badajoz province. Over 100km east of the VdlP. Probably far enough away not to have a direct impact on the route.

Elysium City, wherever it may be, sounds more like Hades than Homer’s Elysian plain ‘at the world’s end [not Finisterre!] ... where living is made easiest for mankind, where no snow falls, no strong winds blow and there is never any rain’. Admittedly, this description from The Odyssey bears very little resemblance to the windswept, rain drenched plain I toiled across this summer. Nevertheless, a cascade is preferable to a casino here, there or anywhere.
