Family Camino from A Gudiña

Time of past OR future Camino
2023 ?
Hello fellow pilgrims,

I've planned a camino for my family (incl. my 2-year-old son) and for the start we will arrive in SdC on September 3rd.

I was thinking about getting a train from SdC to A Gudiña via Ourense and now I see that part of the trains are sold out already. Does anyone have experience if it is still recommended to book the trains in advance or if we will be able to buy tickets on site.

Does one of you have any other advice or recommendation for this 200km Camino via Laza?

Thank you in advance!

Buen Camino!
Denis

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
There are problems with engineering work on the high speed lines at the moment. The trains which are running are very busy and fill up quickly. Sometimes for several days ahead. I would book as soon as possible and not wait until close to your travel day.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
What else I thought about is the frequency of places where to get some water. Especially, as the first day will be 20km without any services until Campobecerros, are there any fountains on that part?

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
