- Time of past OR future Camino
- 2011
In this new world of ours, with all the concerns about how to take care of our environment, it would be wonderful to link the great tradition of Compostela with appreciation of conservation and biodiversity. What might we be able to do to link the many beautiful caminos to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela to the forests of Costa Rica, so those who complete Compostela can take a few further steps and do El Camino de Costa Rica, www.elcaminodecostarica.org.
The Camino de Costa Rica, with hot and humid sections but also cool mountain air sections, is inspired and modeled on the Compostela caminos! We want to honor that inspiration. Many who have done the Camino de Costa Rica are now doing Compostela from Sarria on. It’s a beginning. We’d love to see that mutual exchange increase. Any ideas how we might do that?
