Hi!
Tomorrow I leave for my second trip this year to Spain and Portugal. Having "pilgrimaged" in Austria (Jacobs way) and Spain (camino Frances) in May and June and walked the 490km long Pieterpad in The Netherlands in July I am now ready for another camino in Portugal. Before I start walking from Porto, I will travel a bit and visit Bilbao, Madrid and Lisbon.
I still need to pack, and knowing myself...that will probably happen about an hour before I actually have to get on the train. I hope my 22ltr Osprey pack I named Amber will be big enough. If I miss something, I'll buy it over there. They have stores :) I checked!
I was a bit unfortunate last week, because my body decided to get down from the stairs in a somewhat unconventional way. So I have now a massive bruise on my butt. Also my shoulder and arm are a bit bruised and my head hurts when I comb my hair. Nothing serious, but it will be interesting spending 21 hours on the bus from Amsterdam to Paris and onto Bilbao.
At least my feet are good to go! Wish me luck!

More than luck: do you know about Arnica? It is reputed to be wonderful helping with preventing bruising and possibly easing the pain in the areas affected. You are young, flexible, and having a wonderful period in your life. Keep in touch!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

That is a good advise! My dad gave me some kind of cooling gel that seems to be helping a bit. Maybe I will check out Arnica too, do you know if one can find that in Spain?

I just did a very simple google and it looks like it can be found in Portugal and Spain. If you have something that works already, trust it!
