Hi
Last year I´ve had a big help with tips about good stores to buy clothes and equipment in Central London. Unfortunately I can not find that post
Can someone help me?? I´m going to London in april and have some shopping to do to my camino in october...
Thanks
Katia
I like my nearest Cotswold (in Leeds) for the customer service and advice when buying key items such as boots. The staff there seem to have been outdoors at some point. However they tend to sell more 'high end' gear. For less important items Millets is often better value. Also general sports retailers such as Sportsdirect have a limited range of outdoor items, which are cheap and cheerful. I get my water bladders there for £10 compared with £30 in Cotswold. Buen Camino!
Rohan have shops in London too. Best value, if there is enough time, is from their on-line sales department using the 'collect in store' delivery option.
Check out their locations here http://www.rohan.co.uk/Home/ShopFinder for London and across the UK.
In Covent Garden is also Ellis Brigham which is good, and Mountain Warehouse which is cheap and not very good. My fav shops for quality and choice are Ellis and Cotswold, which handily, are nearly next door to each other. There is also a North Face shop opposite.
