My thoughts at this time of the year are with the people who I have had the privilege of meeting on my walks

And those on Ivar's forum who have been with me. I know only a few of you as individuals, but your collective presence has often helped me to press on.

Best wishes to you all for now and for 2020.

Twice walked from St Jean to Estella and once from Sarria to Santiago. Maybe someday I'll find the time to do the entire walk.
I've found the time. Just completed SJPP to Santiago. 25 Aug to 1st Oct, 2016.
And now the Portuguese from Lisbon.

@scruffy1 , kia ora (greetings) and thank you for that connection.

I write this just after 07h on Wednesday, 25 December.

A few moments ago I photographed one of many local "Christmas" trees, the pohutakawa: this was about 10 metres from my front door and flowers around this time. This particular tree still has many blooms to give up: the whitey/grey "dots" are buds waiting to erupt.

While you will understand this is summer for me (at 41 degrees south), the "bush" in the background and the trees are green all year around. While we have autumn, the only "fall" is from exotic trees brought by migrants from the other hemisphere.

So I wish all readers seasonal greetings and may your journeys in the coming year be all you wish for.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
