Overwhelmed, grateful, still slightly dazed….

Our Camino went by too quickly and I can‘t believe the me that was asking for help and advice such a short time ago is home on the other side of the experience .

Thank you so much to everyone who have helped and supported us and others on this forum, you are all amazing.

We started our walk at Laguna de Castillo and because I am, well, me - we came in from the east/south east because I didn’t want our walk to go through anywhere the bus had already driven us through on our way to our start point. On reflection - it probably wouldn‘t have been a big thing (but I’m still pleased with our approach).

Every day was perfect. Our shortest day was a little under 19 km, our longest was about 34.5. We loved every moment and we are missing getting up and walking….. there is something very special about the Way - not sure we have got it out of our system yet…. Best wishes to all and many thanks to everyone who offered support and advice for our journey, and everyone who wished us well 😊😊😊😊😊.

Your title caught my attention and my current state. I am writing from A Salceda, preparing (perhaps more so emotionally than physically) to finish our Camino tomorrow in Santiago after beginning on the 15th in Astorga. Soooo many feelings: can’t believe it’s almost over, my feet are grateful it’s almost over, this is only the beginning… 😱🥺🥳😭🤯🥰
Buen Camino proximo! 😉

I completed my first CF in April this year. I duly returned home and washed it out of my system. Or so I had thought.

Then, the urge to go again appeared. On my first CF, I missed the initial SJPP to Pamplona section, some bits before and after Leon, and the dreaded entry into Burgos because of time constraints. Now I feel compelled to complete it all and am booked for late October.

I’m working on a book about it for the Japanese market. Yes, it gets under your skin.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Is there a list of albergues that also have private rooms on the Camino Frances? Gracias.
Hi everyone -- After walking the Frances from SJpdP last October, I'm planning to revisit the bit between Logrono and Burgos this July, following different stages. It's the section where I had...
I started out from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port on 1 May. It turned out to be an unforgetable day. Above 1,000 m or so it snowed, catching many people unprepared. Later that day "many" walkers were...
And another attempt looms, to buy a decent Poncho after trying and failing in the previous two likely towns. Anyone know where an Altos or similar might be bought in Leon, please? 😁
