You can take the bus to Santiago airport and fly to Madrid or to the Intermodal station in Santiago and take either a train or bus. You can probably also go to Ourense and make the same or similar connections on train or bus since the train will go through there anyway.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
The only direct that’s showing on Trainline is the 1455.

Otherwise it’s a change at Ourense with a 4-hour wait. Ideal for a good lunch?

I've looked on renfe for middle of April and there are 3 trains a day all changing at ourense and approx 4 hrs with change. 0921 from Sarria and arr madrid at 1332. There is one from Sarria at 1120 takes 5 hrs but is only from 25€. I done the reverse of this trip recently and we were bused from ourense to sarria and was a great transfer no problems at all.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
There is some sort of delay with renfe in posting the trains on that route. There is a once daily direct train but renfe has not posted that train on the schedule beyond the first couple of days of April. I emailed renfe specifically about the once daily direct train and they said that there is a delay in posting the trains and they don’t know when they will be posted
Response from renfe
“This does not mean that it will not be offered or that it will not run but rather that the necessary adjustments are still being made for its final configuration. The department responsible cannot give us a specific date when it will go on sale so we advice you to check availability periodically”
