Early start due to the humidity and began by walking through grape 🍇 vineyards. As I reached Carerra, known for their mining of granite and marble I transitioned to asphalt walking until just before Massa.
I then stopped at a farmers market for lunch and eventually checked in to my accommodations just after noon.
This is a beautiful old city with numerous churches and monuments throughout.

What's this Bob?...no mention of oceano/mare! I ignored all else & bolted to the water; couldn't get my shoes & socks off fast enough to feel the sand between my toes & to paddle after so long inland..but I am a regazza costiera 'foreshore'! 🤭 😎

Lucky it wasn't raining; you'd be standing somewhat taller with the mud through the vineyards.
I wondered just how long they can justify slicing into the mountains for the marble; its not as if they can grow replacements... 😏
Wow...your VF is certainly racing away now. 🤗

They have cut away so much of the mountain ⛰️ it really has become an eyesore.

But when you get to the churches and the statues in the squares, you'll see what they have done with it.
