Hola from Guillena. Pleasant walk along straight stretch from Seville after suburbs of Camas & Santiponce in beautiful sunshine. Hope to walk for a few days. Met petit pilgrim from Florida who recently completed Frances in 44 days. Also met Danish pilgrim on similar agenda as us. Saluted a professional pilgrim now on way to Santiago having done many routes including Fatima. The route is well marked. Buen Camino.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

All the best. Keep us posted. I look forward to hearing about your journey. I'm doing the Via de la Plata next April, God willing!
Buen camino

Day 2. Four in albergue last night with hospitalero Jose Luis from Seville on five day stint. Another beautiful day of sunshine;-) Some road walking at start and end but clear air in countryside. Met day hikers who dined on freshly picked oranges ( thinking of another thread ). Spoke with hombre collecting mushrooms. Route well marked.

Day 3. Yep, a long walk on road but bridge walls to sit on and even take off boots. Shortly after entering park AGUA is well signposted on building wall. The dreaded climb was not too difficult, although could be tricky in wet weather. Almaden de la Plata is a friendly town. Oh, my feet are still friends with me;-)

Good to hear crackmrmac.
Wish that I were there. That short, steep climb was sure tough in the summer heat but would be even worse in the rain.

People often complain about those first 16 km along the road. At the moment I started thinking to myself "ok, this is enough", I saw the entrance to the park. The rest of the walk was lovely.
