Hey pilgrims!
Jula and I are walking from Irun on July 26 or 27. Anyone else setting out around the same time?
We walked the Camino del Norte last year and enjoyed it so much we decided to do it again this year. However, this time we have about 12 days on it unfortunately. It would be great to meet some fellow pilgrims along the way.

JoshG:

With only 12 days, you might want to consider the Primitivo. Not sure what type of pace you walk at but if you liked the Norte hills you will enjoy the Primitivo.

Joe

We're flying into Bilbao on the 21st and haven't decided yet if we'll just start from there or take the train back to Irun and walk from there... Either way we'll be a bit ahead of you, but we might be slow, so we'll keep our eyes open for you! :)

Hi Joe!
Thanks for your advice. I would like to walk the Primitivo some day, but this time we really want to stay close the the ocean. I am from NZ and currently living in Austria a long way from the sea. I miss it!
Buen Camino!

Hi Lady B! Thanks for getting in touch. I highly recommend starting in Irun, the stages from Irun to Deba are among the best on the whole trail. If you do start at Bilbao I recommend skipping the stage out and instead beginning at Portugalete. The walk out of Bilbao is not the nicest way to start the Camino!

Hopefully see you on the trail!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi Anontis,
Thanks for getting in touch! Depending on how fast you walk, we might catch up with you. It would be nice to meet you. :) I cannot wait to be back on the trail!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
