Hello

I walk both the via la plate stating in Seville at the start if June and then form Leon as I got to Santiago about two weeks before my flight in 2010. I enjoyed the one from Seville a lot more mainly owning to the total lack of people walking and the cleanness of the trail. I am looking at going again but not starting until the start of July and would like to know if the heat makes it impossible to walk starting in Seville.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Check www.weatherspark.com/averages/32062/Sevilla-Andalucia-Spain. It will be pretty hot. On September 12, 2011, the day I started from Sevilla, it was +39.

Hi Debra,
I walked July 2011 starting off from Sevilla on July 7th if I recall correctly. Pretty tough but doable for me (had 3.5 liters of water at all times and it still wasn't enough). There were very few of us on the Camino, in fact I walked from Sevilla - Zamora with one person and most nights we were alone in the albergues.
I suggest that you check out previous threads as there is lots of information about this topic.
Cheers,
LT
