HI Veteran peregrinos! I am going in September to walk for 10 days from Seville on the Via de la Plata. I will make it to Villafranca de los Barros, Terremejia or Merida depending on how far I feel good walking each day.
Does anyone know if its easy to get a bus from one of these towns to Madrid? Or have another suggestion? Many thanks!

Hi,

I guess you already have the answers in the post above... At least, MĂ©rida is so large a city that I cannot imagine there be any problems getting a train or a bus to Madrid. I just want to wish you a good camino, and please tell us all about it here on the Forum! :O)

Take care

Ideal pocket guides for during and after your Camino. Each weighs just 40g (1.4 oz).
I took the train from Merida last year and it was a very pleasant experience. It's an opportunity to have a chat to locals who aren't part of the camino industry; Spanish trains are, in my experience, comfortable, clean and well-managed; the service is good; and once you're going it's a fine way to see the countryside.
Buen camino, wes.

thanks everyone who has given such helpful information! much appreciated!
