I never saw any either but there were plenty of people hopping into taxis!I don't remember seeing any evidence of one.
I think you will find that the VdeLP is rapidly changing, why, because in the past it was usually the reserve of experienced pilgrims who had an understanding of Camino etiquette. I found this year that there were a lot of first timers. As a consequence there were many instances of behaviours not previously found. Taxis, bed racing, 5 o’clock lights, etc etc.

I too don't recall seeing one on my three VldPs. However, there were people using taxi services (which, IMO, is a shame). It's always a shame to see people rushing for beds as it takes away the camino spirit / etiquette and they miss out on some of the good sights that this camino has to offer. If you plan your stages well I'm sure that you will find it quite manageable. I'm going back again next April for a 4th time/ Don't forget on some stages you can always fallback and catch a bus halfway and walk the rest to the albergue. Good luck with your planning. Is there a service such as Jacotrans on the Via de la Plata.
