Hi, I'm heading on the Camino de ingles near the end of April, just wondering what the weather might be like, trying to see if I need shorts or pants for that time

What would you wear at home @Dave2 ? Galicia is just like Ireland only Spanish. Maybe warmer but just as soft. I’d wear shorts. The theory being that legs dry easier than trousers. Sometimes I’m right

my equipment is always the same, whether I'm in Spain in April, May or September October. In April I had nothing but rain from Irun to Oviedo and a year later at the same time on the Primitivo I had nothing but sunshine

Hi Dave , I walked the Inglés at the beginning of April last year as my first Camino. Absolutely loved it!
I had fantastic weather my entire time. Somebody here on the forum following exactly one week later had three days of rain. It's Galacia, it's by the sea, and it's spring.
I had Frost on two mornings, and 24 degrees at three o'clock in the afternoon. Zip off pants or pants and shorts, layering, sun tan lotion - yes seriously - and a poncho or rain jacket are all required!
You probably won't need to book anywhere because I can't think of any public holidays at the end of April. If there were, be aware that Bruma can be a real pinch point accommodation wise. There were several occasions last year to my certain knowledge where people had to walk on (or taxi) an extra 10 Km. Consider booking or staging around it.
For what is worth like so many others I made a YouTube video on both my packing list and the camino itself. Forgive me the quality is not great - it was my very first!
If you're interested here's a link. And you're welcome to PM me with any additional questions.
