Olá,

coming weekend you will get heavy rainfalls and storm in Portugal and Galicia. Windspeed up to 100 mph, waves aprox. 40 feet. Therefore avoid the way along the coast. It is more protected inland. And here is the 10 days forecast for Matosinhos:

Take care and bom caminho, Rainer

I'm Walking Camino mozarabe from Malaga. It's pouring rain. And Tomorrow. Hope getting better next week. And I'm lonely walker. Everyday Only me on the road or in the albergue.
You've chosen a fairly remote camino, and at the very quietest time of the year.
I've been on many such caminos, Jun, and I know it can get very lonely. But things should improve, the closer you get to your destination.
Blessings, my friend, from cold, wet England!

Thanks Stephen!
Today in Antequera I met the Very first pilgrim from germany. He went to hotel.

Greeting form Spain .... Cold and Wet too.

May you have drier weather soon, @Jun Meng!!
And may the quiet become a joy. Silence and walking are such wonderful gifts to give yourself.
Buen camino, peregrina!

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Thanks I’m currently in Santander on El Norte and planned the 31 km coastal route to Boo but have been advised against it. Today from Güemes to Santander the headwinds up on the coastal route made the 15km feel like 30km. I’ll head to Boo via inland route to be safe as I’m quite alone so few pilgrims around.

Hey I’m alone on El Norte. The few young ones I’ve crossed paths with are either running or taking transportation. Me I’m on day 12 from Irún rested a full day in Bilbao. I too am finding it a bit lonely vs the Frances and I’m an introvert and spend a lot of time walking w my dog alone at home. So Buen Camino and hopefully you’ll find some pilgrim buddies. I’m all alone in a albergue to night kind of spooky

Jun, I can comfort you. We walked from Malaga aswell. Met in 23 days only 2 pilgrims, in Merida it changed completely. Here the albergues are becoming full. We are now at monastery in Alcuescar with 17 other pilgrims.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
We are walking from Porto tomorrow April 7th.
Is anyone ahead of us and what is the weather like?
