Well this is weird ... the Hoverglide rucksack system ...

Well, now I've seen everything! Buen Camino. 🚶‍♂️

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
The bloke in the video is cautiously approving however I feel these things are a gimmick rather than a real asset to walking. The bouncing generated by the up and down movement would be noticeable as would the extra weight of the mechanism itself. Along with the price of $US 500, I cant see it being value for money.

Without trying one, we can all roll our eyes and say whatever opinion comes to mind - it does look different/weird. But would it be bouncy? We don't know. Would it be noticibly heavier? Who knows? Would our dodgy knees thank us? Who knows? I do know it looks interesting and would try one if I had a chance.

At 5.5 lbs to 7 lb empty, their 30 L pack is about 4 times heavier than my pack. Excluding water, that would increase my loaded pack weight by 30 - 40%.

Where can one buy helium balloons along the way? :)

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
From an engineering point of view, if there is no elf or leprechaun pushing up behind you or a bunch of helium balloons tied to the top of the pack, the wearer will experience heavier and lighter weights, though only momentary. Overall, if the pack weighs 20 lb., the wearer will feel the full 20 lb. all day...on average.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Great idea!

When I was a young lad I carried my pack ... and measured distance in beer. Presumably to replenish carbs.

How many tree plantings does it takes to offset a bag drone trip?

Then there would be the unending clarification and debate of "the rules" applicable to a drone assisted walk, needed to press print. :)
