Will Orisson Refund ??

Time of past OR future Camino
2006 to date: Over 21 Caminos. See signature line
So this question has come up in a group I have on Facebook.

PLEASE do not respond unless you KNOW the answer.
I "think" isn't a fact and I'm looking for facts.

If the pilgrim office in SJPP recommends pilgrims do not walk the Napoleon Route, and if people have paid for reservations at Orisson, will Orisson refund their money?

Has anyone had this experience?

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
My Orisson invoice stated very clearly that refunds will not be issued and the boarding pilgrim must arrive before 6:30 in the evening. I think your best bet is to contact Orisson and ask them.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Does it specifically state that if the road is impassable, there will be no refunds?

I'm mostly curious about PAST EXPERIENCES regarding this issue. But thanks. ;)

Last year I had a reservation there and on my way to Spain, as I got to Dallas, my husband became sick at home and I had to return for 5 days. When I restarted my trip I started in Pamplona instead so I would still be able to finish on time for my return trip. While I was home I just emailed Orisson to let them know I would not be there for my reservation and stated they could just give it to someone else. I did not even mention a refund as I had read their confirmation and it said no refund. I just didn’t want to keep a bed someone else could use. About a week later a refund appeared on my PayPal account. So you never know.

Really why do it the hard way? Jean-Jacques 33 5 59 49 13 03 and problem solved.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Email works well. Just don't expect an immediate response as, most refreshingly, they are not tied to our North American time urgencies. It's a lovely introduction to the slower pace of life one finds on the camino. And yes, I got a refund, no problem. :)
