Hontanas is on my top three villages I stayed at on my Camino Frances journey to Santiago in 2012.

A great 'second' breakfast in that cafe! I loved the way the village seemed to come up out of the ground as you approach it...

I was bone weary on that stretch and totally bewildered as to why this village was forever on a constantly disappearing horizon and then suddenly "it came up out of the ground" ! Good memories! The Malingerer.
