Andrea Driscoll

Hi my name is Andrea Driscoll and last year I walked the Camino Frances with great help from my fellow forum members, however on my 1st night of sleeping out in Orrison I caught hypothermia and concussion and was hospitalized, but like a true soldier I discharged myself and carried on My Way.
I would like to thank every one for their help last year, of boots clothing, walking poles that were stolen whilst I was asleep in Logronio, my John Briary book (that got stolen when my backpack was swapped) luckily I came across the guy who stole my backpack although my blister kit the book and other things were still missing. I got robbed of 80euro and my mobile phone in Burgos. As I took my money out all at once every 2 weeks as it was cheaper for me to do it like that. As I only received £112 every 2 weeks, well this year my benefits have gone down further to £95 every 2 weeks, I managed to eat and sleep out on this, whoever said the Camino can not be walked on baguettes were wrong as I did it.
I have been looking for work although I suffer from depression and anxiety not to mention dyspraxia!!I've had no luck unfortunately.
I was hoping my fellow forum members may be able to help me out this year with a pair of walking shoes, the ones donated kindly to me last year the stitching came away and I had to get them repaired, I also need a very lightweight and compact sleeping bag and sleeping mat, a poncho that folds into itself preferably to keep things as small as possible as a good friend Valerie has donated to me her Osprey talon 33l s/m pack which is ideal and very light, I would also be greatful of a John Briary guide book should anyone have a spare,as the one donated to me by Howard was stolen with my backpack, also walking shoes or sandals would be a godsend as the boots were very hot and heavy on my feet, although they did the job and were fine, if anyone has a spare army knife that too I would be in much need of. A bumbag that would hold my passport would also be of great help especially if it held a water bottle too. I know I am asking for a lot here. I am doing this walk for Emmaus and have opened up a justgiving page for details please feel free to call me on 0744725 4333. Please do not hesitate to call and ask also my skype name is andrraforry should that be easier. I will give you all my details from there.
God bless you all, peace and love Andrea
PS if Ivor sees this my I walked the Camino Frances Badge was stolen too so if you could kindly send me a replacement I will wear it with pride.
I hope to hear from you guys soon and if you need any advice please do not hesitate to ask xx
