    Thoughts from a first timer....

Got back from my first (but definitely not last) Camino over the weekend. You people on this forum were so great with advice so I just wanted to let you know how I found it all in the hope that it may help some others. I walked from Villafranca del Bierzo to Santiago over an unseasonably wet 8...

Some really great knowledge but also perspectives. Thank you so much.

Ponferrada to Santiago - is it too much to do in 7.5 days?

Thank you so very much everybody. I think that Villafranca is probably my best bet to reduce risk of having to rush too much. That means I can just start on the Camino from Villafranca on the 23rd and save the 30KMs. It gives me a bit more flexibility if I'm not quite as fit as I think I am...

Ponferrada to Santiago - is it too much to do in 7.5 days?

Thanks for the replies. It looks as if my train out is just after 1230 so I have 7.5 days to walk this section. It sounds as if this is do-able with a little bit of a push. I have no idea what 30KM per day each day feels like on my feet so here's hoping that I can handle the pace as it sounds...

Ponferrada to Santiago de Compostela in mid / late March

Thanks for all of the responses about the weather. Any idea on whether most Auberges are open or not over Easter? Thanks in advance.

Ponferrada to Santiago de Compostela in mid / late March

Thanks so much for the replies - both are interesting reads! One puts fear into me but the other gives me great comfort! Pretty much sums up the unpredictability of it all!

Ponferrada to Santiago de Compostela in mid / late March

Hi everybody. I have long wanted to walk the Camino and have an opportunity to take 10 days off of work at the end of March. I'm looking to walk from Ponferrada to Santiago and was wondering about the path and weather. I have had a look through the forum and there are lots of people asking...
