    Hey, don't let people discourage you! it is amazing and brave to travel solo. My advise, because I've seen it in my friends from the US a lot, is: when in town, keep your money, smart phone and passport on you! not in your pockets; get a small light crossbody purse. It wouldn't hurt to keep them...
