The walk is full of celebration and , for me, quite emotional. Met lots of interesting people in those last stages too. Personally, I feel it is part of the experience but we areall different.
I love my 28 liter Dueterand will use it starting April 13 from Porto. It has been my sole luggage on many journeys. Fits as a carry on for Airplane travel too.
Hello, i have a similar plan: Crossing over from the costal/Litoral via Mindelo to just south of Vilarinho and hope to stay at Mosteiro de Vairao. From above notes, this walk along the M530? seems to be noted as quiet. This is an option noted in John Brierly's most recently released Camino...
Flood waters and changing water levels in rivers and streams are serious natural events and should always be given full respect for the danger they present. With the planning and anticipation we each put into our camino journeys it is difficult to accept that mother nature is telling us "not...
Hope your trip goes well, Bom Caminjo.
I am also flying from Canada to Lisbon (better price and connections for me), so have read this thread with interest. The comments and input seem pretty straight forward so feel more confident and will plan to train directly to Porto rather than stop over...
Looking for suggestions for accommodation in Lisbon. Not super pricey, easy access to train stations and interesting sights, safe for a single traveller
I carried one of each and a pair of capris. I wore everything at various times. I find it difficult to find comfy zipoffs but have lots of friends who wear them. Capris made nice "non hiking" wear for me :).
Buen Camino!
Thank you for your input and humour 😊. Being Canadian, ill pull out my maps and think about your suggestions. Yes, looks like ferries go to more easterly tourist ports such as Bilbao so not directly to Ferrol or A Coruna. Your trip "inkling" looks interesting.
I am interested in planning a future walk on the Camino Ingles. I would like to begin my Camino in England, linking one or more of the pilgrimage routes there and then crossing to Spain for the final leg on the Camino Ingles. Have others undertaken this same sort of Journey? I'd love to hear...
I am making the same plan, just to make sure this part is not over whelming, both physically and mentally : )
I have contacted the company by email and not heard back. I will scan this thread for thoughts and input.
Sorry you've picked up a nasty bug. Yup the lesson of Covid..... don't share your bugs with others! Glad it's not covid but lots of nasty bugs and viruses, some that our bodies are not familiar with and we sure do pick them up when we travel. Hope you gain your health and momentum soon.
The account by @Blaster listed is very helpful and assuring 😊. Situations will be different, yet again, by August, but it is good to be mindful of options. Buen Camino.
