Thanks for all the encouragement. We may have to re-think our route and go the more bicycle friendly ways. That's a good suggestion. I guess one of the problems would be getting from SJPdP to Roncesvalles. We are booked at Orrison the first night. As far as I can tell there's no parallel road there as an option. May have to think outside the box a bit.- Darlynn

Thank you all so much for your good information. Will check out the sites listed. Have considered the baggage transfer but can't be sure they will be available from each place we stay. We do have small day packs that zip onto our larger rucksacks so could do that option. Really want to do...- Darlynn

My husband and I are beginning the camino on 18 Sept from SJPdP and because of back injuries are taking a heavy duty golf trolley to carry our rucksacks. Has anyone else done this??? Will we be able to use it between SJPdP and Roncesvalles?? Have been training for 6 months and are otherwise...- Darlynn
