Not paying unnecessary fees or finding a decent exchange rate? I suppose for many it’s unnecessary detail; but if you’re travelling a lot (and you seem to be way up the scale) it’s worthwhile.- David .

Apologies. The HSBC and Travelfx rates were correct £/€ numbers at the time. My money market number was a total error as it was the £/$ rate. (It was late). The current correct market number is 1.16. My point that I can get a better rate for physical currency than I can with my HSBC debit...- David .
