I noticed the same thing Annie, when I was using Gronze during my camino this past fall. Several of those reviews left me in disbelief at the lack of gratitude and deeply sad for the precarious future of donativos.
I just need to vent here a minute. I've been booking lodgings for my next Camino (not my group, but my own).
I would like to ask people who post reviews, especially on pilgrim sites such as Gronze, to remember where they are and what they are...
It's not imposing, and therefore easily missed as you say.

Avoid abbreviated dates when booking.
In Europe, 3/4 means 3 April, not 4 March.
That might be a problem if you are on the Camino on 4 March, and looking for a bed.
Write the month name to prevent misunderstandings.
On the rare occasions when I have had to email I have usually attached a translation of my message from Google Translate or similar. Keeping it short and to the point minimises the chance of misunderstanding.
I don't think there are areas (on the Francés) that have a particularly high risk for being struck by lightning.
I am very afraid of thunderstorms. So I totally understand the question.
